Our Process
Our process is designed to be simple and we can have you onboarded in as little as one day from initial contact to trial and first lesson.

About this subject
In Key Stage 1, mathematics teaching focuses on two main goals: building pupils’ confidence with numbers and encouraging them to think “mathematically.” Through practices such as counting exercises and progressive learning of place value concepts (tens, hundreds, etc.), children begin to not only become more proficient working with numbers but also get practice problem-solving in creative ways and thinking critically about the way numbers work together. Teaching these essential skills in an engaging way at a young age can set kids up for success in later maths classes by helping them develop foundational skills like mental flexibility, pattern recognition, and perseverance.

All lessons are tailored to the individual student and start with an initial scoping session between the tutor and parent/child. Once this is complete and the student’s needs and goals have been established, a personalised lesson plan is created. Our online lessons can be booked on a weekly or fortnightly basis, depending on the needs of the family and student, with sessions ranging from one hour to multiple hours per week depending on requirements.
