Our Process
Our process is designed to be simple and we can have you onboarded in as little as one day from initial contact to trial and first lesson.

About Our Maths Tutoring
As children progress through Key Stage 2, their mathematics lessons will increasingly focus on large numbers and place value. This will help them to see the connections between multiplication and division, and understand how fractions, decimals, percentages and ratio work. By the end of this key stage, they should be confident in using large numbers and be able to apply their knowledge to real-life situations.

KS1 Maths Tutoring
All lessons are tailored to the individual student and start with an initial scoping session between the tutor and parent/child. Once this is complete and the student’s needs and goals have been established, a personalised lesson plan is created. Our online lessons can be booked on a weekly or fortnightly basis, depending on the needs of the family and student, with sessions ranging from one hour to multiple hours per week depending on requirements.

FAQs
My child is not good at maths, how can tutoring help?
Tutoring provides an environment in which students can ask questions with no fear of judgment. In earlier years especially, children can feel as if there is no room to speak up in large classes. For that reason, we only do one-to-one lessons so there is a safe space that harbours discussion and encourages making mistakes. We will work though the national curriculum checkpoints to ensure that the student is in line with expectations, and keep parents updated with progress via our lesson reports.
Our schedule is quite tight, can we fit tutoring in?
Yes, we will work with you to determine a suitable schedule. Our academic consultants will discuss the optimum schedule in light of availability and needs.
Can a parent sit in on the lesson?
Yes they can. Sometimes children in KS2 may benefit from having a parent nearby. Plus, they may learn a thing or two as an added bonus.
